Utilizing the patented 3VO Kinematic perfected by Chris Currie, we designed Kanga. Our team's combined decades of experience in wrenching, riding, design, and manufacturing has culminated in our biggest accomplishment yet.

Why Steel?

Kanga brings steel back into the forefront of mountain biking, providing a compliant ride feel unlike anything on the market.

Why Aluminum?

While steel is absolutely real, aluminum too, is real... Our welded aluminum swingarm is lightweight, stiff, and strong. We want the shock and the 3VO to do the work out back.

Why 3VO?

3VO suspension delivers active, supple traction while maintaining pedaling efficiently. You don’t have to choose between climbing performance and downhill control.

Why Mullet?

Mullet (MX) mean business (29" wheel) up front, party (27.5" wheel) in the back. The Kanga powers up techy climbs efficiently thanks to 3VO, while maximizing fun on the descents. Mixed wheel gives more even weight distribution and confidence descending. The 27.5" has a tighter turning radius than the 29er, making the rear end of the bike pivot around the front.

Tailored?

We offer tailored sizes! Kanga comes in 6 standard sizes which covers most body types. Here at Jackalope we understand the value of a perfect fit, so we offer tailored sizing to accommodate the outlier body types. We can change the reach or the seat tube length to match your proportions.

Jackalope's all new 3VO Kanga MX150 frame includes these exciting features:

  • Front Triangle
    • Velospec Elite butted steel downtube
    • External routing

This is mountain biking's final form.

After 6 weeks of ownership, over 700kms of aggressive trail riding, 21,000m of climbing and even more descending with not one second of wishing I was on a different bike.
I ride a size medium built up with a super deluxe air shock and a 160mm lyric which has resulted in a super playful and poppy ride, able to launch to the moon off of any potential trail jibbing root or rock. But with enough support to have confidence driving it straight into some pretty harsh terrain.
The steel really dulls out the sharp frequency’s which provides a noticeably smoother ride as well as a more quiet one.

If your goal with mountain biking is to have fun, this is the ultimate bike.

So much FUN!

This bike has exceeded my expectations in every way so far! Currently, really enjoying the front/rear coil setup, so much traction yet the suspension design lets me pedal up efficiently without needing to flip the lockout lever. On the downs, the bike is very nimble around tight switchbacks and berms, super composed in the steep chunk, and just tracks at high speed.
My bikes always end up being on the heavier side (all my current bikes are steel...) and this bike is def a few pounds heavier than my last but it does not feel like it at all and climbs great. Really impressed by the Kanga on my local trails, mountain, and bikepark! It's just too much fun on everything.
Jack did an amazing job on the design and fabrication of the Kanga MX150 and the SAGE came out *chef's kiss* immaculate. I couldn't be more stoked on my new bike!

Big fan, love this bike.

I only own one bike, so it needs to tick a lot of boxes. Asking one ride to do it all is no small task, it's a big ask! But I couldn't be happier with the Kanga. It's playful when you want it to be, but can still charge hard when things get burly. It’s the perfect match for riding here in BC. I've always struggled with arm pump, so I’m absolutely loving the damping characteristics of the steel front triangle.

Purple Beast!

I got my cosmic lilac kanga in Summer 2024 and I love it! I am 5’8” and ride a M/L. The fit is great.
I was initially a bit worried about how it would pedal as my previous bike was a carbon trail bike and my Kanga is a bit heavier frame and specced for a more enduro style with a zeb and a vivid. But the Kanga surprised me pleasantly it is fun to pedal and does not feel like it is dragging at all, very minimal pedal bob.

The Kanga really shines on the descent though, I have not had a steel/aluminum frame before and I find that the bike is really responsive on the way down. It crushes flow trails and tech trails and feels nimble and playful throughout.

I definitely recommend it!!
